-Sepultura

Max Cavalera formed Sepultura in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 1983. The first lineup had Max at guitar, Igor Cavalera at drums, and Wagner at vocals. Already in 1985, the band recorded its first album for Mushroom Records and what followed it is an unquestioned trajectory of world-wide success that all know. Max left the band in 1996 (the official announcement came on January 29, 1997), for not agreeing to the resignation of Gloria (Cavalera, manager of Sepultura and wife of Max) made by Igor, Andreas Kisser and Paulo. Max established Soulfly in 1997 and the three remaining members of Sepultura continued with Derrick Green at vocals.
